Stephen Ministries
Stephen Ministry is a Christ-based lay ministry that spans across denominations and continues to find a place in congregations throughout the country, including here at Tuckston United Methodist Church.
Following completion of a 50-hour training program, along with continuing education, lay caregivers (called Stephen Ministers) provide one-on-one Christian care to persons experiencing some form of a life challenge. Each minister spends focused time with his or her care receiver in a completely confidential relationship. Through Stephen Ministry, pastoral staff and congregations are able to provide quality care to those in need of support.
